Our trip to Amama Park
Prep/1s used their senses as part of their HASS assessment when they went to Amama Park. They heard Russell talk about the plants, they saw the waterfall, they smelt and tasted the leaves that Russell told them were safe and they touched the boats and clear water that they floated in the creek.
Hugo said “At Amama Park I touched sandpaper leaves, it felt rough like sand. I heard Russell taking the leaves of the trees to show us”.
Addison said,” I heard the waterfall and the birds. I looked for a Gympie Gympie plant”.
Kathleen said, “I saw the waterfall and heard it, I could smell the leaves of the trees”.
